This course explores what it means to be Canadian by examining our diverse identities, values and the landscapes that shape us, both physically and culturally.
Note: This course is offered in a live class format in Semester 1 only . Check out our live class schedule here.
You will be challenged on the notion of what it means to be Canadian, and be exposed to a variety of experiences through literature. You will look at our vast landscape and study how it plays a dominant role in Canadian literature.
Note: For students who began Grade 10 after September 2024 (Sask Grad Plan), you can choose either ELA 31 or ELA B31 to meet your ELA 31 requirement. Students who began Grade 10 prior to September 2024 (Regular Grad Plan), continue to need both ELA A31 and ELA B31 to graduate.
Modified courses are specialized courses that require signed parent consent before registering a student up to the age of 18, due to the potential impact to post-secondary options. Students over the age of 18 may sign consent for themselves.
To register in a modified course, full-time Sask DLC students can contact their Academic Advisor and part-time student's schools may contact their local Sask DLC Campus Principal.
