The foundations of modern industrial societies, economic and social systems, and the development of our current forms of government are rooted in the past. You will learn about the changes in European society and culture from the early 1700s to the eve of the First World War in 1914. This includes examining the French Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, the rise of nationalism and liberalism, and the Age of the New Imperialism.
You will examine how worldview shapes world events and influences political and economic decision-making in the past and present.
