You will learn about hairstyling, skin care and nail care techniques from a salon / spa perspective.

Note: Hairstyling and Esthetics 10 is full for the 2024-25 school year and those on the waitlist will be notified if a spot becomes available. Registration for the 2025-26 school year opens March 3.

What Will I Learn?

You learn fundamental skills in hairstyling, giving manicures and facials and providing hair/scalp analyses and treatments. You will build skills in professionalism, blowouts, curling/flat iron skills, dutch and fishtail braids, beach waves, up-dos and skin and nail care.

This course is an introduction to an industry which includes technicians that specialize in hair, nails, skin and makeup. The sanitation, disinfection and sterilization of equipment, along with the safety of clients and technicians is a key element throughout the course units.

Note: Hairstyling and Esthetics 10 is offered in Semester 1 or Semester 2 courses, there is no year-long course option available.
