You will learn the basics of graphic design skills through a combination of written work and practical, hands-on assignments using industry-standard software.
You will explore the roles of graphic artists and graphic designers, learn about the history of graphic arts and some fundamentals of graphic design. You will learn how to use industry software such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as explore design elements, including layout, typography and colour.
This will guide you to be able to create real-world graphic design and graphic art projects, like business cards, logos, brochures, cartoon characters, comic pages and more.
Topics of copyright, public domain and creative commons will also be covered.
