This course is designed to engage you in advanced football concepts. You will examine how the game has evolved over time and explore how football is creating opportunity for underrepresented populations.
Note: This course is available starting in the 2025-26 school year. Registration opens on March 3.
Methods of planning game strategy, including in-game decision considerations, are looked at.
You will also deepen your understanding of leadership, goal setting, community partnerships and secondary careers related to football.
You will also have the opportunity to explore career pathways in football.
While taking this course, you will benefit from access to a football coach or another knowledgeable mentor that can provide feedback, but this is not required.
This course can be adapted for flag football, upon request to your teacher.
