This course will expand students' knowledge and skills in food preparation, nutrition and food systems. You will develop consumer awareness and personal skills with the goal of cooking healthy and nutritious meals.

What Will I Learn?

You will learn about safe food handling procedures, how culture and geography impact food trends and the importance of food systems. You will learn how to implement different cooking and baking techniques.

Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to explore the processes and skills needed to create a variety of food items, including homemade soups, pastries, proteins, appetizers and desserts.

You will complete your Food Safe Level 1 course and have the opportunity to research and explore career options in the food industry.
