What Will I Learn?

You will explore and analyze the real challenges that affect teens and adults on a daily basis. You will read, view and listen to multiple forms of literature and critically analyze and share opinions of what you've learned. You will also compose and create essays, poetry, multimedia and fiction.

Online Live Class or Asynchronous Courses

You have the option to enroll in the ELA A10 (ELA 10) synchronous live class course OR the ELA A10 (ELA 10) online asynchronous course.

  • Synchronous Live Class: you attend a live online class taught by your teacher at a specific time, every school day. If you're interested in enrolling in the ELA A10 (ELA 10) synchronous course, please review the synchronous live class details and schedule.

  • Online Asynchronous: you work through your online course on a flexible learning schedule, with online support from your teacher.

Note: This course meets the ELA grad requirements for students who began Grade 10 after September 2024 (Sask Grad Plan). This ELA course is equivalent to ELA A10 for students who began Grade 10 prior to September 2024 (Regular Grad Plan). Those who began Grade 10 prior September 2024 also continue to have access to the ELA B10 asynchronous course.
