Building on the basic skills developed in Drafting and Computer-Aided Design 10, you will focus on residential home design, including the opportunity to make your own design.

Note: There is limited space in this course and registration will be closed once at capacity.

This course also has a dual credit option with Saskatchewan Polytechnic.

What Will I Learn?

You will learn to recognize and understand different types of planning documents such as floor plans, foundation plans, elevations and detail drawings. Understanding the types, uses and typical locations of specific building materials, you will create 2D and 3D architectural drawings of homes.

You must have a Windows based computer capable of running both AutoCAD and REVIT. 30GB - 40GB of hard drive storage is required.

  • AutoCAD program (free download) - can be installed on a Windows computer or Mac

  • Revit program (free download) - can only be installed on a Windows computer

Reliable internet connection and device to submit course work, including speakers or headphones.
