This course introduces students to farmyard operations and setup, cattle care and production, mental health awareness and the design of livestock facilities.
Access to cattle and livestock facilities is required.
Students may choose to take either Cow/Calf or Equine Studies to earn this credit, but not both.
You will learn about farm health and safety, fire prevention, cattle behaviour, operation of stock handling equipment, animal physiology and anatomy and cattle disorders.
Access to cattle and cattle facilities is required, as you will need to submit videos demonstrating the skills you have learned.
