Computer Networking 30L is designed to help students develop the technical skills required to securely establish, maintain and troubleshoot business networks.

Students will learn about the management of hardware and software networking components and include IP configuration, setting up wireless and wired networks, managing networks, basic network security, software updates, hardware upgrades and network protocols.

Explore basic networking protocols
Investigate mechanisms for securing networks against various threats and providing secure remote access to users
Examine the characteristics of local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs)
Investigate the characteristics of wired and wireless networking
