What Will I Learn?

Students will gain a balanced and current view of today’s agricultural realities when they explore the independent, but interrelated industry segments that collectively move what’s in the field, or pasture, to our fork. From operations and transportation to technology and communications, students will walk away with an understanding of how and why agriculture has such an impact on our economy and everyday lives.

Students taking this course will complete seven core units of study and an inquiry project based on their personal passion areas, learning style and vocational interests. With the support of their teacher, they will engage in experiential, hands-on activities to research and explore Canadian agriculture as well as receive support with post-secondary scholarships.
